Sophie Newton

Sophie Newton is Legal Counsel for M&A Insurance at AIG. Sophie supports underwriters on M&A insurance across the EMEA and APAC regions. She also operates as an M&A specialist to support and facilitate progress across all W&I, Tax and Contingent Liability claims in the regions, with a particular focus on major clients, high value and complex claims. Sophie is an insurance litigator by background, and joined AIG from an international law firm, where she advised insurers on complex Financial Lines coverage disputes and defended claims against financial and legal professionals.
