1. Einleitung Kreislaufwirtschaft, Kunststoffe, Konzentration – diese drei Elemente bilden das Fundament der Master-Thesis, in der eine Transaktionsrecherche und Konzentrationsanalyse auf dem Markt für Kunststoffrecycling in Deutschland durchgeführt wurde. Diese Thesis wurde in Ausgabe 3/2022 der M&A Review detailliert vorgestellt. Ziel der Transaktionsrecherche und Konzentrationsanalyse war es zu untersuchen, ob der in der Vergangenheit sowohl in der Entsorgungsbranche als auch in den Medien thematisierte Konzentrationsprozess wissenschaftlich belegt werden kann, welche Intentionen diesem möglichen Prozess zugrunde liegen und welche Auswirkungen M&A sowie eine Konzentration auf das Recycling von Kunststoffen (mit Fokus auf Kunststoffverpackungen) haben könnten.
